On August 26, 2019, a team of two from the Research Department of the Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA) visited Ghana to introduce relevant stakeholder institutions to the Strategic Surveillance Programme (SSP), intended to streamline the collection of data within the sub-region.

The IMF is also providing technical assistance to selected Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs), namely real estate dealers, dealers in precious minerals and stones, and Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs). A team from the IMF met with the FIC and players within these DNFBPs.
